On November 15, Deputy Foreign Minister Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine, Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, who recently began her diplomatic mission in our country.
Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude for Lithuania's firm and unwavering support for Ukraine, including the military, financial, and humanitarian assistance provided to our country, as well as Lithuania's active participation in advancing Ukraine's foreign policy initiatives.
The interlocutors discussed key issues related to the further development of cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania in both bilateral and multilateral formats, including collaboration in the context of supporting Ukraine's future EU and NATO membership, the implementation of Lithuania's projects for Ukraine's reconstruction, and expanding cooperation within the framework of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8).
The parties paid special attention to the deepening cooperation in the defense sector, specifically the prospects for establishing joint production of weapons.
Ambassador Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė confirmed Lithuania's readiness to continue providing comprehensive support to Ukraine until its full victory over the aggressor country, and beyond, focusing on the reconstruction of Ukraine's regions.
