On January 24 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Oleхandr Mishchenko held a meeting with Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Anna Radwan.
The Sides noted the high level of strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland and the importance of maintaining the dynamics of political dialogue.
Olexandr Mischenko congratulated his Polish colleague on the beginning of Poland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union and looked forward to the significant progress of our state on the path to EU membership, in particular, the opening of a number of negotiation clusters during the Polish Presidency.
The Deputy Minister stressed that Ukraine considers granting an invitation to NATO and future membership in the Alliance as the only real guarantee of security, which should become a factor of stability in the region.
Anna Radwan assured of Poland's commitment to supporting Ukraine's European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, as well as the need to ensure long-term security in Europe and prevent further aggression by Russia.
The Sides discussed joint steps to counter Russian propaganda and hybrid threats, the educational needs of Ukrainians in Poland, and also noted progress in resolving historical issues.
The Ukrainian Side expressed its readiness to further expand cooperation with the Polish Institute in Kyiv on the implementation of joint educational and cultural initiatives.
