On October 8, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko met with the Director General of the Security and Multilateral Section, Political Director of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs Veronika Stromšíková.
Olexandr Mischenko thanked the Czech side for the comprehensive assistance provided to our country since the beginning of the full-scale Russian armed aggression. He positively noted the Ukrainian-Czech cooperation in strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and emphasized the importance of the Czech initiative to supply shells to counter Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.
The parties discussed Ukrainian-Czech cooperation on the implementation of joint projects of the defense-industrial complex, training of Ukrainian pilots in the Czech Republic, providing security guarantees to our state, as well as joint efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace for Ukraine and strengthening sanctions against Russia. The Czech side positively noted its participation in the International Defense Industry Forum DFNC3 in Kyiv.
The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the dynamics of bilateral political contacts at the highest level. In this context, the interlocutors discussed the organization of bilateral events until the end of 2025, taking into account the elections to the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, which took place on October 3-4.
For her part, Veronika Stromšíková confirmed the unwavering position of the Czech Republic in supporting Ukraine and expressed her Ministry's readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the defense and security sphere.
