On December 17, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine Victor Micula.
Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to Romania for its support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for providing comprehensive assistance in the context of Russia's large-scale armed aggression, particularly the supply of the Patriot Air Defense System.
The Deputy Minister expressed Ukraine's solidarity with the actions of the Romanian authorities aimed at countering external influence on the electoral process in Romania.
During the meeting, the interlocutors paid special attention to Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Viktor Micula assured that Romania remains steadfast in its support for our state’s full membership in the EU and NATO.
The parties discussed the schedule of political contacts for 2025, the prospects for establishing strategic partnership relations, as well as specific areas for the development of border infrastructure along the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
