On January 22, 2025 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Oleхandr Mishchenko held a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Ukraine Mateja Prevolšek.

Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to Slovenia for its political, humanitarian and defense support to Ukraine in countering Russian aggression. He also emphasized the importance of increasing military assistance to Ukraine and the need for coordinated efforts by the international community to effectively confront the aggressor state. Olexandr Mischenko also expressed his gratitude for Slovenia’s active participation in the Ukraine – Southeast Europe Foreign Ministerial Meeting, which took place in Kyiv on January 17, 2025.

The Deputy Minister highly appreciated Slovenia's efforts in implementing a number of humanitarian projects, particularly in the reconstruction of Ukraine's affected regions. 

In her turn, Mateja Prevolšek confirmed the Slovenian readiness to continue providing support in this area and to implement new joint projects.

The interlocutors paid special attention to the issue of Ukraine's integration towards the EU and NATO, as well as their cooperation on this path.

The Ambassador reiterated Slovenia's unwavering support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression and expressed readiness for further ongoing dialogue and active cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
