On June 29 in Kyiv, on behalf of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Olexandr Mischenko took part in the official handover ceremony for another humanitarian convoy consisting of 28 vehicles, as well as other aid for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, delivered thanks to the joint efforts of volunteers from the Norwegian initiative “Ukrainian Freedom Convoys.”
With this convoy, volunteers from the “Ukrainian Freedom Convoys” initiative have now delivered the 559th vehicle to Ukraine for Ukrainian soldiers.
In his remarks to the event participants, Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to Lars Peter Sulos, the organizer and leader of the “Ukrainian Freedom Convoys” initiative, as well as to the 50 volunteers from Norway in attendance, who have steadfastly supported Ukraine since the very first days of the full-scale Russian invasion. The Deputy Minister noted that Norwegian citizens, sharing a border with Russia, are well aware of the threats posed by Russian aggression and stand alongside Ukraine in defense of European values. The Ukrainian diplomat emphasized that every such action by Norwegian volunteers brings us closer to our shared victory over Russia, the aggressor state.
Norway consistently ranks among the leading European countries in terms of the volume of military, financial, and humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine, reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with the Ukrainian people and setting an example for other partners in our joint struggle against Russian aggression.
We express our sincere gratitude to volunteers from Norway and other countries for their steadfast support of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
