On January 30, 2025 Head of the First Territorial Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Rostyslav Ogryzko held a meeting with members of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Netherlands – the Leader of the of the “Democrats 66” party, Rob Jetten, and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee representing the same party Jan Paternotte.
Rostyslav Ogryzko highlighted the leadership that the Netherlands has demonstrated since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He expressed gratitude to his interlocutors for their country's political, military, financial and humanitarian assistance, co-sponsorship of numerous Dutch parliamentary resolutions in support of Ukraine and efforts to promote Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO. The diplomat emphasized the importance of further strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia and holding the aggressor state accountable for its crimes.
The Dutch parliamentarians reaffirmed their commitment to making the necessary efforts to achieve the shared goal, which would be a success not only for Ukraine but for Europe as a whole.
To deepen bilateral cooperation the parties outlined a plan for future bilateral contacts for the near future.
