On May 29, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Ukraine Mr. Carlo Formosa.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to international efforts aimed at ending the war in Ukraine and creating conditions for a peaceful resolution. The parties also exchanged views on further steps in this direction.
The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to the Italian side for its comprehensive support of cultural projects, particularly in the context of Ukraine’s participation in the Venice Biennale. This event serves as an important platform for the international presentation of Ukrainian art amid Russia’s full-scale aggression.
A key topic of the meeting was the discussion of preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, scheduled to take place in July in Rome. The practical aspects of Ukraine’s participation in this significant international event were discussed, as well as coordination efforts to mobilise support from international partners.
Both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further deepening Ukrainian-Italian relations in areas of mutual interest.
