On 2 July First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya held a meeting with Ambassador of Switzerland in Ukraine Félix Baumann.

The parties discussed actual issues on the bilateral agenda, including political dialogue, international and security challenges, support for Ukraine's recovery, and cooperation within multilateral platforms.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on finding ways to achieve a just and lasting peace for Ukraine, coordinating this process with partners, and holding Russia accountable for its crimes.

The First Deputy Minister emphasised that Putin has shown no signs of readiness for a peaceful regulation and stressed the importance of further international pressure on Russia and the strengthening of Ukraine.

Félix Baumann informed about the progress of the implementation of previous agreements between the two countries to increase the participation of the Swiss private sector in projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation within international organisations, in particular in the context of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship in 2026.

The meeting also touched upon the issue of deepening cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries in the field of economic diplomacy.

The interlocutors discussed the schedule of bilateral and multilateral events, including preparations for the next summit of the International Crimean Platform, stressing the importance of further development of interstate cooperation.
