First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Sergiy Kyslytsya, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine, Mr. Masashi Nakagome.
Sergiy Kyslytsya expressed gratitude to Japan for its consistent support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, international initiatives of our country, as well as for the financial, humanitarian and technical assistance provided in the context of countering Russian aggression. The First Deputy Minister informed the Japanese side of Ukraine's efforts to achieve a sustainable and just peace.
Ambassador reaffirmed Japan’s unwavering support for Ukraine and its commitment to active cooperation aimed at further strengthening Ukrainian-Japanese relations.
The interlocutors discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, particularly opportunities to maintain high dynamics of political dialogue, Japan's participation in the processes of recovery and reconstruction in Ukraine, cooperation in humanitarian demining, and people-to-people contacts and cultural cooperation.
