A formal ceremony to hand over medical and evacuation vehicles to Ukrainian paramedics took place in Kyiv on the grounds of the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery. The initiative was carried out by the “Gurtom UA” Charitable Foundation in collaboration with the organization Ukrainian Action in Ireland.

As part of the charitable initiative, 10 ambulances and 14 all-wheel-drive vehicles were handed over; these will be used for the medical evacuation of the wounded, the transport of patients, and the performance of operational and logistical tasks in the combat zone.

The event was attended by Yevhen Perebyinis, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, who thanked the Ukrainian community in Ireland and international partners for their support of Ukraine.

“This is an example of true international solidarity in support of Ukraine. Although Ireland is geographically far away, our hearts are close to one another. We see how this country actively supports Ukraine, in particular through such initiatives to donate vehicles for the needs of our defenders,” he noted.

Yevhen Perebyinis also thanked the organizers and everyone who contributed to the project. According to him, the donated vehicles are not just equipment, but a resource that will help save the lives of Ukrainian defenders and bring Ukraine closer to victory.

He expressed special gratitude to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and its Primate, Metropolitan Epifaniy, for their constant spiritual support, as well as to the Ukrainian military and medical personnel who save lives on the front lines every day.

Funds for the purchase of the vehicles were raised through a charity campaign involving the Ukrainian community in Ireland and partners, including employees of Google Ireland. The recipients of the aid were paramedics and medical facilities working on the front lines.
