On November 28, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh held a meeting with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Ukraine Martin Harris.
During the course of the meeting, Maksym Subkh expressed his gratitude for Great Britain’s active involvement in international initiative «Grain from Ukraine» while mentioning the intended geographic expansion of its implementation. He also invited Great Britain to continue its active participation in this humanitarian program.
The Ukrainian diplomat informed his counterpart about the successful implementation of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska’s initiative regarding the ongoing reform of school meals and the possibility of scaling it up for implementation in other countries, particularly on the African continent.
In his turn, Martin Harris affirmed Great Britain’s commitment to continued and unequivocal support of Ukraine in its resistance to Russian aggression. He noted the importance of the «Grain from Ukraine» summit stressing that such events contribute to strengthening international support for our country.
Special attention was paid to political as well as security situation in the Middle East and in certain countries of the African continent.
