On 10 March 2021, Ukraine and Brazil held the first ever inter-agency consultations in the field of cybersecurity.
The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Brazil Fabio Marzano and included representatives of the relevant ministries and agencies, in charge of cybersecurity.
The parties presented their national cyber security systems, as well as shared information about the cases of malicious activities in cyberspace.
Vasyl Bodnar informed about cyber attacks of the Russian Federation against Ukraine as an element of its ongoing hybrid war. He stressed that joint efforts of the international community are required to combat cyber threats effectively.
Another topic of consultations was the provision of cybersecurity during the national elections.
Finally, parties outlined prospects for further bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
