The sides stressed upon this during the meeting of Deputy Minister Vasyl Bodnar with the newly-appointed Ambassador of China to Ukraine Fan Xianrong on occasion of presentation of copies of credentials.

Vasyl Bodnar noted that China is an important strategic partner of Ukraine and suggested jointly identify concrete measures to restore the dynamics of political dialogue and enhance practical interaction, especially in the trade, economic and investment spheres.

Fan Xianrong, on his part, stressed his willingness to make efforts to reach new achievements in bilateral cooperation in all areas.

The newly-appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine was a member of an advanced group of Chinese diplomats that arrived in Kyiv in 1992 to establish the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine. In this regard, Vasyl Bodnar congratulated Chinese diplomat on his return to Kyiv and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.
