Anton Demokhin Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization launched a new Working Group of representatives of relevant Ukrainian government agencies, leading Ukrainian IT companies, and Ukraine’s partners from across the Nordic region during the roundtable “Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection Cooperation: The Nordic Countries and Ukraine”
The Working Group will prioritize the development of decentralized cybersecurity infrastructure, capacity building of professional communities, the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with EU directives, support for projects aimed at strengthening the protection of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure and enhancing technical cooperation, including through innovative initiatives.
“Ukraine will pursue these goals through innovation, technical cooperation, institutional development, and joint projects between our countries,” - emphasized Anton Demokhin, addressing the roundtable participants.
During the inaugural meeting of the Working Group, participants also discussed knowledge sharing to strength institutional capacity in cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection, as well as practical mechanisms to improve professional qualifications in the field. In this context, foreign partners expressed particular interest in learning from Ukraine’s experience in countering cyber threats
Anton Demokhin highlighted the high level of cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland within the framework of bilateral security agreements. He also acknowledged the significant contribution of these Nordic countries to strengthening Ukraine’s cyber resilience. The Deputy Minister thanked representatives of the aforementioned countries for their military and civilian support provided to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
