Modern art exhibition "People Live Here" opens at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine

The exhibition project “This is Our Land” was opened at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine the exhibition project "This is Our Land" at the initiative of the Abramovych Art Agency, the Modern Art Research Institute of the NAAU and with the participation of the Institute for Art Studies, Folklore and Ethnology of the NASU.

The project consists of separate exhibitions, each of which reveals different facets of modern life in Ukraine, its historical past, which influences the present. Through the works of modern Ukrainian art, the project reflects the uniqueness of the Ukrainian cultural space, its diversity, and significance for the international community.

The first part was the exhibition of the curator Halyna Skliarenko, entitled "People Live Here", which aims to draw attention to the "human dimension of war" that is often lost in political discussions.

Over the three decades of independence, our society has experienced social upheaval, political and economic crises, and now our country has to confront Russia's aggression. All of these events have had an impact on the lives of every Ukrainian and have affected the perception of our country in the world.

The exhibition project was launched at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Diplomacy helps to shape the image of a country, which affects its perception in the international arena.

The exhibition features artists of different generations - Nazar Bilyk, Andriy Bludov, Ihor Haidai, Dmytro Hrek, Olena Hrom, Yegor Zigura, Oleksandr Klymenko, Anatoliy Kryvolap, Pavlo Makov, Mykola Matsenko, Valeriy Miloserdov, Roman Minin, Anna Mironova, Ilya Novgorodov, Yevhen Prymachenko, Vinny Reunov, Stepan Ryabchenko, Oleksiy Say, Serhiy Sviatchenko, Viktor Sydorenko, Yuriy Solomko, Oleksandr Sukholit, Oleh Tistol, Vasyl Tsagolov.

"The artists' works, in particular painting, photography, sculpture, graphics, collage, reflect the Ukrainian present. Through art, mutual respect and tolerance should be established in the world, which should become the key to peace. This is what Ukrainian artists are calling for today", emphasizes the curator of the exhibition Halyna Skliarenko.
