On December 5, 2023, political consultations between the foreign ministries of Ukraine and the Republic of Türkiye were held under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye Burak Akçapar.
During the negotiations, the Sides discussed a wide range of issues of Ukrainian-Turkish cooperation, including high-level bilateral contacts in the near future. Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to the Turkish Side for consistent support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Sides discussed ways to intensify economic cooperation, as well as Türkiye's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Besides, there was a detailed exchange of views on the implementation of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the "Grain from Ukraine" Initiative, in particular, alternative routes for the supply of Ukrainian grain, Türkiye's participation in the International Crimea Platform, as well as the security situation in the Black Sea Region.
The Sides paid special attention to the issue of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, in particular the agenda of BSEC.
