On August 21, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the French Republic to Ukraine, Gaël Veyssiere.
The Deputy Minister noted the high level of bilateral political dialogue between the two countries and expressed sincere gratitude for France's unwavering support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its military, humanitarian and financial assistance for Ukraine in countering Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.
The parties also discussed practical steps to deepen political dialogue on Ukraine's path to the EU and NATO, as well as intensifying economic and investment cooperation in the context of Ukraine's reconstruction. There was an exchange of views on the concept of the Special International Tribunal proposed by Ukraine for considering Russia's crimes of aggression against Ukraine.
For his part, Gaël Veyssiere assured the unchanging support of France for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and confirmed its determination to continue to provide military and political support to our country, as well as to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
