On 10 September, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevhen Perebyinis, received copies of credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of Ireland to Ukraine Jonathan Conlon.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the Irish diplomat on the start of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine and expressed his gratitude for Ireland's comprehensive support to Ukraine and the assistance provided to Ukraine to overcome the consequences of the full-scale russian aggression.
The parties discussed key areas for strengthening cooperation between the two countries and the implementation of agreements reached during the recent visit of Prime Minister of Ireland Simon Harris to Ukraine. The focus also was on the realisation of the newly signed Agreement on Support for Ukraine and Cooperation between Ukraine and Ireland, in particular on Ireland's involvement in projects reconstruction of Ukraine.
Newly appointed Ambassador of Ireland, Jonathan Conlon, confirmed Ireland's commitment to support Ukraine in its fight for independence and democratic development until the complete victory over the russian aggressor.
