On 15 August, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine, Martin Åberg.
The Deputy Minister noted the high level of bilateral political dialogue between the two countries and thanked Sweden for its comprehensive support to Ukraine in countering Russian armed aggression, particularly for the substantial defense assistance provided to our country through weapons and military equipment.
For his part, Martin Åberg reaffirmed his country's readiness to continue supporting Ukraine and strengthening cooperation between Kyiv and Stockholm.
The parties also discussed practical steps to implement President Volodymyr Zelensky's Peace Formula, support Ukraine's path to full EU membership, and exchanged views on further developing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
