On 21 October, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of credentials from Ambassador of Japan Masashi Nakagome.
The Deputy Minister congratulated Masashi Nakagome on the beginning of his diplomatic mission to Ukraine and noted his significant personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian-Japanese relations during his tenure as Director-General of the European Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Yevgen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to Japan for consistent support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, international initiatives of our country, in particular, the Peace Formula and the Victory Plan of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as for the financial, humanitarian, technical and other assistance provided in the context of countering Russian aggression.
The Ambassador reaffirmed Japan's unwavering position in support of Ukraine and its readiness to work actively to further strengthen Ukraine-Japan relations. Masashi Nakagome also announced Japan's readiness to provide another batch of energy equipment to supply several regions of Ukraine that have suffered the most from Russian armed aggression.
