On June 24, 2024 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis, during his working visit to the Czech Republic, held working meetings with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Marian and Governmental Envoy for the reconstruction of Ukraine Tomáš Kopeční.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its comprehensive support of Ukraine in the face of Russia’s armed aggression. The parties discussed political, financial, humanitarian and military cooperation, including ways to deepen cooperation in these areas. They also exchanged views on the Czech initiative to raise funds and purchase ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the Sides have focused on the implementation of projects to recover Ukraine, in particular within the framework of the Czech patronage of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
During the meetings, the diplomats discussed preparations for Ukrainian-Czech intergovernmental consultations, as well as a meeting of the Ukrainian-Czech Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
The Czech Side highly appreciated the results of the first Global Peace Summit and expressed its readiness to continue to actively participate in the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to his Czech colleagues for their support in implementing Ukraine's rapprochement towards EU and NATO membership. In this context, he emphasized the importance of holding successfully the EU-Ukraine Intergovernmental Conference and the NATO Washington Summit.
