On April 11th, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with First Assistant Secretary and Head of Europe Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, Christian Hirst, as part of his visit to Ukraine.

Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude to Australia for the military-technical, financial-economic, and humanitarian assistance that Australia has provided to our state.

The Deputy Minister positively noted the high dynamics of contacts between the two countries and thanked for the reopening of the Embassy of Australia in Kyiv.

The conversation was focused on Ukraine's priority needs, primarily against the backdrop of constant Russian attacks on the energy infrastructure of our country.

Yevhen Perebyinis stressed the interest in involving the Australian Government and business in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

The parties agreed on the importance of ensuring further support by Australia for Ukraine's initiatives to achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.
