On February 25, 2025 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis met with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Marian.

Yevhen Perebyinis informed the Czech side about the adoption of a resolution by the UN General Assembly on February 24 on the advancing a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine and thanked the Czech Republic for its support and co-sponsorship.

He also briefed his counterpart on the outcomes of the recent  visit of the EU delegation led by President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen as well as  the second joint meeting of the College of Commissioners and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic for its unconditional support of Ukraine and comprehensive assistance in countering Russian aggression. The discussion focused on Ukraine's priority needs, particularly in light of Russia's continued attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Special attention was given to Ukraine's integration into the European Union. The Deputy Minister outlined the progress made and the next steps in the negotiation process on Ukraine's accession to the EU.

In his turn, Jan Marian reaffirmed that the Czech Republic support Ukraine's European integration and its readiness to continue providing the necessary support along this path.

Yevhen Perebyinis also underscored the importance of active support for Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations, emphasizing that the invitation of our country to join NATO is a reliable guarantee of security for both Ukraine and Europe as a whole.

Both parties agreed on the importance of further strengthening sanctions pressure on Russia and preventing it from circumventing the existing restrictions.
