On March 28, within the framework of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental consultations chaired by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Head of the Council of Ministers of Poland Donald Tusk, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis met with Undersecretary of state of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland Marek Prawda

Deputy Ministers discussed in detail further assistance to Ukraine amidst the Russian full-scale aggression, Poland's role in the implementation of the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the EU sanction policy, drafting an Agreement on providing security guarantees to our country, as well as preparations for this year's NATO Summit in Washington.

"Warsaw and Kyiv are close partners and allies. Ukraine is grateful for the strong support of Poland in the fight against the Russian invader, and considers Poland as its reliable friend”, underlined Yevhen Perebyinis.

"We must continue to deepen our cooperation and work closely in this direction. In particular, we have to intensify all existing mechanisms of bilateral dialogue, including within a number of regional formats”, stressed the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine.

During the meeting, Yevhen Perebyinis and Marek Prawda gave particular attention to the negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU and the interaction between Kyiv and Warsaw on this issue.

"It is important that the Intergovernmental Conference on Ukraine's membership in the European Union be held in the first half of 2024. We will be grateful for the support of this decision, " noted Yevhen Perebyinis.

The outcomes of the meeting have become part of the results of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental consultations.
