On September 10, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevhen Perebyinis took part in a thematic event for representatives of the diplomatic corps "Towards the Crimean Platform: the situation in Crimea and strengthening the policy of non-recognition of the occupation", which was held at the initiative of the Representation of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

In his speech to the participants of the event, Yevhen Perebyinis emphasized that over the five years since its creation in August 2021, the Crimean Platform has transformed from a diplomatic initiative into a multi-level international format in the governmental, parliamentary, and expert dimensions, which complement each other and allow us to keep the issue of the illegal occupation of Crimea on the international agenda.

Among the significant achievements of the International Crimean Platform, the human rights direction aimed at identifying and preventing mass violations of human rights by the Russian occupation administration in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea was noted. In this regard, the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with Ukrainian and international human rights organizations, to develop an advocacy mentoring program for Ukrainian citizens imprisoned for political reasons was confirmed.

The Deputy Minister also noted the importance of the expert dimension of the Crimean Platform, the purpose of which is to form recommendations on the future recovery and priorities of the state's reintegration policy after the process of de-occupation of the peninsula and its return to the legal field of Ukraine.
