On August 23, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Antal Heizer.
Yevhen Perebyinis extended his gratitude to Hungary for the provided humanitarian aid. He also expressed the hope for Hungary's support of Ukraine's integration to the EU and NATO and further dynamic development of the dialogue between the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of Hungary's involvement in the implementation of a number of Ukrainian initiatives, including the Peace Formula initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the International Crimea Platform.
Particular emphasis was given to cross and trans-border cooperation, export of Ukrainian agricultural products, provision of educational and cultural needs of the Hungarian national minority in Ukraine and the Ukrainian national minority in Hungary.
For his part, Antal Heizer has confirmed his commitment to strengthen the bilateral dialogue between Ukraine and Hungary.
