According to the information circulating in mass and social media, in recent days the Rapid Support Forces of Sudan have established control over the city of El-Fasher – the administrative center of North Darfur State – where they are committing horrific acts of violence against civilians that may be regarded as war crimes.

We call on the parties to the armed conflict in the Republic of Sudan, as well as the international community, to take all possible measures to stop the bloodshed and violence, bring to justice those committing crimes against civilians, and prevent further deterioration of the catastrophic humanitarian situation.

Ukraine opposes any attempts at fragmentation of the Republic of Sudan and its state institutions. The Sudanese people have the inalienable right to live in peace and security.

We reaffirm Ukraine's unwavering position in support of the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan, and the building of its democratic and prosperous society.

This is not only in the interests of the Sudanese people, but will also contribute to strengthening peace, security, and stability across the entire African continent.
