On April 28, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine between Viktoria Lialina-Boiko, Director of the Department of Public Diplomacy and Strategic Communications, and representatives of the Public Council under the MFA of Ukraine. 

During the meeting, the participants discussed a number of topical issues related to the strengthening of Ukraine's international subjectness and countering the Russian presence in the international humanitarian, cultural, and sports space. 

The participants paid special attention to updating the algorithm of actions and framework recommendations regarding the modalities of participation of Ukrainian civil society representatives in international events where representatives of the aggressor state are present. 

The parties exchanged views on possible formats of interaction aimed at countering Russia's use of cultural and sports platforms to promote propaganda narratives, legitimize its aggression against Ukraine, and disseminate disinformation at the international level. 

Separately, during the meeting, attention was paid to the update of the Public Diplomacy Strategy and the Communication Strategy of the MFA of Ukraine for 2026–2030. 

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of further coordination of efforts between state institutions and the public sector to form common approaches that will facilitate the effective promotion of Ukrainian interests in the world.
