On May, 6 Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Mykytenko received the Ambassador of Palestine to Ukraine Mohammed Al-Asaad at his request.

During the meeting Palestinian diplomat informed of the signing of the national Palestinian reconciliation, which took place on May, 4 in Cairo.

On his part, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine expressed the hope that the agreement will create conditions for the resumption of Palestinian-Israeli peace talks and facilitate the settlement of the Middle East conflict.

The sides also discussed bilateral cooperation, particularly in agriculture and culture, and also exchanged views on current international problems.
