Minister for Foreign Affairs Leonid Kozhara conducts telephone conversation with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski
18 April 2013 14:48

The two Foreign Ministers discussed some practical issues of Ukrainian-Polish strategic partnership and Warsaw’s support for the European integration of Ukraine.

The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry underscored that Poland is undertaking all possible efforts to ensure the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement during the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.

In this context, Minister Kozhara invited his Polish counterpart – along with the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Republic of Lithuania and the Kingdom of the Netherlands – to pay a working visit to Kyiv on April 25 this year.

This visit, which should include extended negotiations in the Foreign Ministry as well as meetings with the Ukrainian leadership, will be aimed at getting acquainted with the internal situation and expressing support to Ukraine in its European aspirations and the continuation of reforms.

Minister Radoslaw Sikorski accepted the invitation and for his part expressed confidence that this visit will result in positive messages for the Council of the European Union in the context of the forthcoming conclusion of the Association Agreement
