On 13 April 2012 the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in violation of UN Security Council Resolutions 1695, 1718 and 1874 launched a missile.

Ukraine is concerned by such actions that undermine regional stability and aggravate the situation both on the Korean Peninsula and in the South-East Asia Region.

Ukraine as a state with advanced space technology draws attention of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the necessity to demonstrate the responsibility regarding ballistic missile programs and calls on to take steps to normalize the situation on the Korean Peninsula by confirming the previously assumed international commitments and constructive participation in the Six-Party Talks.
