Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Olefirov took part in the Third informal Eastern Partnership dialogue meeting in Yerevan on 12-13 September.
In his speech Andrii Olefirov briefed the participants of the meeting on Ukraine's progress in the area of the European integration, implementation of the road map of the Eastern Partnership and the preparation of our country to the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius. In this regard, he stressed on the intentions of Ukraine to make maximal efforts to ensure the signing of the EU Association Agreement during the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit as well as to provide comprehensive assistance to the partners in ensuring the success of this forum.
During a working lunch representatives of the EU and Eastern Partnership countries focused on the discussion of topical international and regional issues, primarily related to the situation in Syria, Egypt and Afghanistan as well as Iranian nuclear program.
The meeting was attended by Stefan Fule, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy, Helga Schmid, Deputy Secretary General, EEAS, and senior officials of the Eastern Partnership countries.
The participants of the forum will be received by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
