Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Leonid Kozhara met with Foreign Minister of Romania Titus Corletean
During the meeting the current state and prospects of Ukrainian-Romanian relations were discussed, including the calendar of upcoming contacts at different levels by the end of 2013 and in 2014, as well as bilateral cooperation on international arena.
Special attention was paid to the steps made by Ukraine in preparation for the successful signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU at the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit.
Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Romania also discussed bilateral cooperation in the context of Ukraine's chairmanship in the OSCE, including measures taken by Ukraine to provide the new impulse for the negotiations to settle the Transdnistrian problem.
Other important topics at the negotiations were cooperation within international and regional organizations, enhancement of trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, inter-regional and trans-border cooperation.
Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Romania signed the Plan of Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania for 2013-2014.
