On behalf of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Rybak Ukrainian Foreign Minister confirmed the invitation to the President of the Senate to pay an official visit to Ukraine. Leonid Kozhara and Crin Antonescu expressed the need for further intensification of contacts at the level of parliamentary committees and parliamentary cooperation groups.

Leonid Kozhara confirmed the interest of Ukraine to establish a consistent political dialogue between Kyiv and Bucharest at all levels, develop good-neighborly relations, mutually beneficial trade and economic ties and open new opportunities for further extension of bilateral people-to-people and cultural contacts with Romania.

A special attention was paid to ensuring the rights of the Romanian national minority in Ukraine, particularly in educational sphere, and the Ukrainian one in Romania.
