The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine took note of Russia’s official request to permit a delivery of so-called Russian humanitarian aid to the Eastern regions of Ukraine.
We believe that this proposal is nothing more than another element of propaganda, which aims to demonstrate primarily to the Russian consumers the Kremlin’s alleged “good intentions”, take advantage of the difficult situation that the Russian side itself has brought to the Eastern regions of Ukraine to serve its own shallow political interests.
In reality, it is because of the actions of the Russian side peace and stability still cannot be established in the East of our country. Russia does not show willingness to de-escalate the conflict and stabilize the situation. Groups of armed terrorists who kill, terrorize and intimidate the citizens of Ukraine, systematically violate the Ukraine-Russia state border from the territory of the Russian Federation. Therefore, we should realize that trick with the so-called humanitarian aid - is nothing else but a veiled attempt to help Russian mercenaries and terrorists who now find themselves in a quandary due to successful ongoing of Anti-terrorist operation.
Yesterday, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine sent an official note in respond to the Russian request regarding humanitarian aid. In turn, we suggested that Moscow should instead focus on meeting numerous requests for humanitarian aid from the people of annexed Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
We have officially expressed concern that many signals of the international community focused on rapid aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian peninsula as a result of its occupation by Russia have been left without a respective adequate response.
In the note, the Ministry has once again called on the Russian side to meet their obligations before Ukraine and the world and prevent further aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian peninsula, which is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster as a result of Russian military aggression.
