The Heads of Foreign Office of Ukraine and Latvia discussed such top priority issues of bilateral agenda as the development of political dialogue, deepening trade and economic and investment cooperation, enhancing cooperation in the sphere of transport and transit.

Special attention was devoted to the issues of the European integration of Ukraine. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Leonid Kozhara expressed gratitude to the Latvian Side for its consistent support of the European integration aspirations of Ukraine.

Heads of Foreign Office exchanged views on international issues, cooperation within the framework of international organizations and multilateral forums.

At the outcomes of the meeting the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Latvia signed the Joint Statement and held joint press-conference, where answered the questions of the Latvian media.
