The 26-th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) was held in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia, on 11 June 2012

The Delegation of Ukraine at the meeting was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. V.Mayko.

This meeting was remarkable as it was held on the eve of the Jubilee Summit on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Organization to be held in Istanbul on 26 June 2012.

At the Meeting Mr. V.Mayko gave assessment to the present state of affairs on cooperation within the Organization, participation of Ukraine in it as well as to implementation of projects in the field of energy, transport, tourism etc. He underlined the necessity in pragmatic approach for achieving the goals of the economic Organization.

During the event Mr. V.Mayko had meetings with colleagues from Serbia, Turkey, Moldova, Romania and Azerbaijan and discussed the actual issues of the bilateral relations and cooperation in international organizations. V.Mayko welcomed the Delegation of Moldova on occasion of election Mr. V.TVIRCUN (Moldova) as a Secretary General of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat.

The Serbian and Ukrainian sides signed the Plan of Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Serbia for 2012-2013.

While in Belgrade, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine V.Mayko attended the reception on the occasion of the inauguration of newly elected President of Serbia T.Nikolich.
