On December 12, 2011 Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met with Foreign Minister of Hungary Janos Martoni, who arrived to Ukraine on his official visit.

During the talks the sides exchanged views on a wide range of Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation, particularly on ways to further intensify political dialogue, cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, as well as both states' partnership on the international arena.

Special attention was paid to the key issues on Ukraine-EU agenda. Hungary confirmed its readiness to further support the European aspirations of Ukraine.

At the end of negotiations both Ministers signed the Plan of Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary for the years of 2012-2013, and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Ministries of two states on implementation of the EU Action Plan on liberalization of visa regime for Ukraine.
