On December 7, 2011 H.E. Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa met with the Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority (Ministry for Foreign Economic Affairs) of Pakistan Mr. Tariq Iqbal Puri.

During the meeting the Sides exchanged views on the bilateral visits in 2012 and discussed possibilities and ways of further deepening of Ukrainian-Pakistani relations, particularly in trade and economic spheres. In this context, the importance of finalizing the procedures of setting up the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Pakistani commission on trade-economic cooperation was emphasized.

The necessity of further improvement of bilateral legal base, as well as of strengthening cooperation in consular and other spheres was also underlined.

H.E. Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko expressed his confidence that this visit of the Pakistani business delegation will contribute to considerable intensification of business contacts between the two countries.
