On the sidelines of the International Conference on Afghanistan, which takes place in Bonn on December 5, 2011, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met with Foreign Ministers of Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Denmark.
Kostyantyn Gryshchenko discussed the agenda of bilateral relations with each of these countries and paid special attention to the future Ukraine-EU Summit, especially, in terms of finalizing negotiations on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
European colleagues of Ukrainian Foreign Minister, in particular, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Villy Søvndal, whose country will assume EU presidency from 1 January 2012, emphasized that their states remain interested in the fastest conclusion of negotiations on the Association Agreement, as well as further strengthening of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU.
