On March 12, 2015 in the framework of his working visit to France the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya has met with Mr. William Danvers, the Deputy Secretary-General of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), and Mr. Marcos Bonturi, the OECD Director for Global Relations.
The on-going cooperation between Ukraine and the OECD and its prospects were discussed during the meeting, as well as the possibility of organizing a "Day of Ukraine" at the headquarters of the Organization in the second quarter of this year. In the views of both sides the event could eventually envisage the Statement by the High level official of Ukraine during the OECD Council meeting, signing of the Action Plan to the Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the OECD, holding thematic sessions etc.
The Deputy Secretary-General has assured the Ukrainian Side that OECD is ready to provide Ukraine with maximum consultative assistance, including on the economic recovery in the regions of ATO area.
On his part, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine S.Kyslytsya emphasized the importance of providing coherence of Ukraine's cooperation projects both with the OECD and other international organizations such as the UN, Council of Europe, and so on.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UNESCO Mr. Oleg Shamshur has participated in the meeting.
