President Viktor Yanukovych officially welcomed Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in front of the Presidential Administration.

Military orchestra performed national anthems of both countries and the two Presidents passed the guards of honor. The ceremony ended with mutual introduction of Ukrainian and Russian official delegations.

After the welcoming ceremony the two Presidents began a tete-a-tete meeting at the Presidential Administration. Upon their private meeting Viktor Yanukovych and Dmitry Medvedev will chair the III sitting of the Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, which will be followed by signature of bilateral documents.

The two Presidents are also scheduled to make a statement for media.
