During the meeting the Parties exchanged views on further support and strengthening solidarity of the EU with Ukraine in energy sphere.

Particular attention was paid to the involvement of Ukraine to the Energy Union creation process, the Ukrainian GTS integration to the European gas transport and storage network.

Urgent issues of Russian gas supplies to Ukraine and its transit to the consumers in the EU was discussed too in preparation for the next round of trilateral gas consultations between Ukraine, the EU and Russia.
