Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Mykytenko received newly assigned Ambassador of Palestine to Ukraine Dr. Mohammed Qasem Assad Al-Assad, who presented the copies of his Credentials.

The Sides exchanged views on the prospects of strengthening of the Ukrainian-Palestinian relations, particularly, in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The possibilities of exchange of visits and expanding of the legal basis were also discussed.

Yevhen Mykytenko outlined the position of Ukraine concerning the Middle East peace process, particularly, the direct Palestinian-Israeli negotiations.

On his part, Dr. Mohammed Qasem Assad Al-Assad informed on the current situation in the Middle East and the process of the Palestinian-Israeli talks on the high level.
