State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Andriy Zayats held a meeting with Mr. Anas Eltaib Elgaliani Ambassador of the Republic of the Sudan to Ukraine.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the Sudan in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres.

The active efforts of Ukraine as Chairman of the Sanctions Committee on the Sudan of the UN Security Council was noted. Closer attention was paid to the revision of the position of the Sudan in relation to Ukraine, in particular, on a range of issues related to RF aggression against Ukraine, violation of human rights in the illegally annexed Crimea. The importance of conducting the Ukrainian-Sudanese political consultations by the end of 2017 was emphasized.

In connection with the completion of the diplomatic mission of the Ambassador of the Sudan to Ukraine, the Secretary of State expressed gratitude to Mr. Anas Elgaliani for his work and wished him success in his further activities.
