On 14 – 15 July, 2011 Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko is on an official visit to Georgia.
The visit includes talks of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko with President Mikheil Saakashvili, Prime Minister Nikoloz Gilauri, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament George Tsereteli, Chairman of the Government of Ajaria Levan Varshalomidze, Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigol Vashadze and Catholicos Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II.
The visit of the Foreign Minister of Ukraine aims to strengthen political dialogue what includes scheduling such meetings for the near future. It is also planned to discuss with the Government of Georgia favorable measures to facilitate trade and enhance economic cooperation such as, namely, regular meetings of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation and the Ukrainian Business Forum as well as the interaction between the two states in the international arena to help find solutions to existing protracted conflicts.
