Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya received copies of credentials from Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Iceland to Ukraine Árni Þór Sigurðsson.
During the meeting, the positive development of relations between Ukraine and Iceland was noted both at the bilateral level and within the framework of international organizations. The Sides acknowledged the importance of further cooperation on implementation of a geothermal energy project in Ukraine.
Sergiy Kyslytsya thanked Iceland for its solid support for Ukraine in defending sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state. Árni Þór Sigurðsson assured that Reykjavik position on this issue, based on respect for international law, would remain unchanged until the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
