On September 13, 2012, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr.Andrii Olefirov received copies of the Credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Ukraine Mr. Simon Smith.

During the meeting special attention was paid to the current issues of the relations between Ukraine and the European Union, in particular prospects of enhancing bilateral political dialogue as well as concluding the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and liberalisation of visa regime for the citizens of Ukraine.

Deputy Minister Olefirov congratulated Ambassador Simon Smith on his appointment and wished him every success in fulfilling his diplomatic duties in Ukraine.
