On November 5-6, 2019 in Muscat, within the first round of the bilateral consultations between the Ukrainian and Omani Foreign Ministries, Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, Director-General for the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, was received by H.E. Khalifa Al-Harthy, Under-Secretary at the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman for Diplomatic Affairs, and held a meeting with the Executives of State General Reserve Fund of Oman and the Members of the Board of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
On November 6, 2019 Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, Director-General for the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and H.E.Ahmad Al-Hinaie, Head of the East Europe Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, co-chaired the negotiations in extended format between the delegations of the two sides.
Ukraine and Oman are interested in deepening political, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation and will work on extending the bilateral legal framework. Both sides welcomed the gradual increase of trade between Ukraine and Oman and agreed for stepping up bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. The two delegations exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
On November 6, 2019 the diplomatic reception on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence was held in Muscat with the participation of the dignitaries of the Sultanate of Oman.
